By train

  • Short train travel to Brussels from London (2h), Paris (1.5h), Amsterdam (1.5h), Frankfurt (3h)
  • The train from Brussels Central Station to Ghent (main station: Ghent-Sint-Pieters) takes 30-40 minutes and runs very frequently
  • Sharing 10-journey tickets with other participants is a (very cheap) option for those of you who travel in groups
  • The conference venue Campus Coupure can be reached by tram number 4 (get off at Theresianenstraat)

By airplane

  • Ghent can be reached very easily from all Belgian international airports by train (see above) or bus shuttle (Brussels Charleroi)
  • Brussels Airport is Belgium’s biggest airport and the most convenient when traveling to Ghent as there are direct trains that run multiple times per hour
  • From Ghent’s main train station Ghent-Sint-Pieters, the conference venue Campus Coupure can be reached by tram number 4 (get off at Theresianenstraat)
