The purpose of the Young Environmental Scientists (YES) meeting is to encourage, teach, and promote young scientists in the fields of toxicology, environmental chemistry, and ecology to be well-networked and self-confident scientists. Attendees have the opportunity to engage in workshops, professional development talks, and to practice networking, public speaking, and other non-scientific skills that are important in the scientific world. All attendees present their research (platform or poster) while receiving feedback from their peers in a relaxed and non-intimidating for students, by students atmosphere.
YES. You must be a SETAC student member at the time of abstract submission.
SETAC students with an accepted abstract will be able to apply for YES meeting travel grants to attend the meeting. These travel grants are not guaranteed and will be competitive, so if you are considering attending please keep this in consideration.
We aim to inform all participants of their travel grant status within a few days of the closing of the registrations.
We will be hosting approximately 100 students from all over the world at this YES meeting. There will be plenty of time for socialising over coffee and posters during the conference, and we hope that you have a positive experience networking with your colleagues.
